Tip for runners;

Up to ten percent of new runners suffer from shin splints and stress fractures. According to a recent study, protecting yourself from lower leg aches is as simple as taking smaller steps. "Shortening your stride decreases the force when your foot lands, which lessens the stress on your bones", says study author Brent Edwards, Phd. To try it, count the number of strides you take for one minute during your regular run, then aim to increase that number by ten percent.
