Diets;
Having gotten up early this morning i was unfortunate enough to see many infomercials on t.v. regarding dieting and losing weight. The one common mistake i see made not only on television but in magazines and newspapers as well, is the fact that noone ever tells the consumer that there are no quick fixes when it comes to dieting. That is like saying that there will come a time when your heart is healthy enough and you no longer need to workout anymore or eat right! Making a change in your diet should involve a change in lifestyle and that means it should last as long as you live. If time permits in my schedule i would like to start a series about how to go about changing your diet and your life for whatever goals you have in mind, be they more muscle or a healthier heart. As for now i leave you with this tip; Take one thing out of your diet that you know is not good for you and replace it with another food that is good for you. Eat a piece of fruit for dessert instead of the ice cream espically if it is after dinner, you don't need all that sugar befoer you go to bed. If you cannot give up the ice cream just yet then try a sorbet or look for another healthy alternative, there are plenty out there in the food stores and taste just as good in my opinion. I like the sugar free line of popsicles available in the grocer's freezer section. After a while you won't be able to tell the difference and if you are the one that does the shopping then i guess the other members in the house have no choice in tne matter and if you don't tell them they might not notice!
