alcohol decreases inflammation;

People who drink moderately live longer, have fewer heart attacks and strokes, and a reduced risk of alzheimer's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Moderate drinking improves metabolic health by lowering insulin resistance, which influnces sexual performance, abdominal fat deposition, blood pressure, blood fats, and inflammation. Mississippi state university researchers found that alcohol decreased the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which increases whole body inflammation and promote degenerative diseases such as coronary artery disease.
The evidence of moderate alcohol consumption is overwhelming, it prevents a myriad of diseases, increases lifespan, and can act as a positive social force. Conversely, heavy alcohol consumption has disastrous health consequences and is linked to a smorgasgord of social ills that include, automobile accidents, violent crime, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Lets not forget the diseases associated with high alcohol consumption, shortened lifespan, liver disease and alcoholism that wrecks not only the alcoholics life but the life of those around them as well.
If you don't drink don't start and if you do drink keep it in moderation!
